🌿 Flights.

As of January 2025, Jetstar is the only airline that offers direct flights between Adelaide and Denpasar. Starting from late March 2025, the airline will increase its services to four times a week, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. A flight to Bali typically takes around 5.5 hours.

Please note, Indonesia requires at least six months validity remaining on passports for visitors entering the country.

🌿 Visa.

Australians require a tourist visa to enter Bali for periods of 30 days or less. A regular Visa-on-Arrival is purchasable at Bali airport, at the counters which are located just in front of Immigration where your passport is checked.

Alternatively, you can apply for a digital e-Visa-on-Arrival HERE. Applications must be applied for up to 14 days before your trip, and no later than 48 hours before your arrival. The VoA and e-VoA both cost 500,000 IDR (∼$50 AUD).

Travellers are also now required to complete an electronic health declaration form called the SATUSEHAT Health Pass, which asks for details regarding your health and travel history. This can be completed before arrival into the country. Once you've completed this form, a barcode will appear — authorities will scan this upon entry to the country.

🌿 Travel Insurance.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind in the event of any medical emergencies. Unlimited medical insurance (without extras) is usually quite cheap - $50.00-$70.00 AUD for a week-long policy. We have previously used TickInsurance but you can use price comparison websites to find a policy that suits you.
